Wedding Market Summit

This Spring, we had the opportunity to head out to The Estate at Cherokee Dock, Reba Mcentire's previous home, now turned venue, for the Wedding Market Summit.  The two-day conference had a lineup of impressive speakers that gave amazing insights into the wedding industry and practical advice on how to successfully implement techniques to grow your business.

Also incorporated into the Summit was a style shoot designed by Laurie D'Anne Events in collaboration with Branching Out Florals, Posh Bridal, Baked in Nashville, and Grand Central Party Rentals. The photos from the shoot turned out perfectly!

A little about a few of the KeyNote Speakers:

  • Angela Proffitt

    • Who She Is:
      • Entrepreneur, designer, celebrity wedding and event planner, and consultant, just to name a few of her many talents.
    • What She Talked About: "Maximize Your Marketing When On TV Or Featured Article"
      • Have you ever had the opportunity to go on TV and give tips in your industry? Well as a planner and designer, that usually requires props. And when the show tells you there’s no budget, what’s your reaction? FREE? Nothing is free in life." Angela covered how to maximize your ROI when there’s not a budget in order to get local or national exposure.
  • Heather Benge

        • Becoming profitable through succesfully acquiring leads/customers.
        • Converting those leads based on their own timeline for making wedding decisions related to your service or product.

We heard about industry trends, where things are headed and how to maximize on social media strategies. We also particiapted in a live broadcast of a few expert panelists during a TWESA networking event with local wedding professionals one evening.  This was held at the Estate's outdoor venue area. Overall the two-days were full of good coversations and great content!

Nashville Fashion Show

Jason Wu Fashion Show at the Nashville Symphony

On April 17th we had the opportunity to head out to the Jason Wu Spring Fashion Show at the Nashville Symphony.  We photographed the models on the runway, Little Big Town's performance and then after the show we headed up stairs to the Nashville Young and Fashionable's After Party that was styled by Hugh Howser with H Three Events. And to top it all off our Photo Booth was set up and rockin' at the After Party!

It was a wonderful time and the designs by Jason Wu speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Jessica + Jeremy Wedding

This past Saturday was yet another rainy wedding day for us.  Our 4th one so far this year that was torrential down pouring!!  We had planned a multi-location shoot around Nashville for Jessica + Jeremy's formals. However, when the forecast showed 100% chance of rain, we had to do some location scouting to make some quick changes.

Jessica and her bridesmaids got ready at the Hutton Hotel, so that ended up being the perfect spot to take their wedding photos. If you guys have not experienced the renovations at the Hutton, then you need to see it because it's fantastic! On Thursday, when we were scoping out spots around the hotel for photos, we were blown away by the lobby alone, so we had to stop and pretend to do something significant while having a bourbon at the bar :)

Initially, we planned to only shoot in the library and get creative with our angles. But, that was before  Jessica + Jeremy's planner, Angela Proffitt,  mentioned shooting in Analog. Analog is Hutton's new event/music venue, and it is spectacular! Angela worked her networking magic and got us exclusive access for part of the day on Saturday so we could do Jessica and Jeremy's first look and some formals there. It was perfect, and in our humble opinion way outdid the outdoor selections we had in mind.

Jessica + Jeremy were a dream to hang out with on their wedding. Super easy going, we didn't see them upset about anything the entire day. They took the rainy weather in stride and didn't let it get in the way of them enjoying the fact that this day was all about them, and the love they were committing to one another. It showed, and they are clearly wedding day rock stars!

We hope you enjoy this preview of Jessica + Jeremy's beautiful, rainy Nashville wedding...

Aero Bar Style Shoot with Mallory Ervin

We recently worked a style shoot with Aero Bar at Bloomsbury Farms to promote their sleek new Mobile Bar named Henry. The beautiful and talented Mallory Ervin and her handsome husband Kyle, accompanied by their adorable pug named Dug, helped bring the scene to life.   We couldn't be happier with how it all turned out.

Cheers!
