Wedding Market Summit

This Spring, we had the opportunity to head out to The Estate at Cherokee Dock, Reba Mcentire's previous home, now turned venue, for the Wedding Market Summit.  The two-day conference had a lineup of impressive speakers that gave amazing insights into the wedding industry and practical advice on how to successfully implement techniques to grow your business.

Also incorporated into the Summit was a style shoot designed by Laurie D'Anne Events in collaboration with Branching Out Florals, Posh Bridal, Baked in Nashville, and Grand Central Party Rentals. The photos from the shoot turned out perfectly!

A little about a few of the KeyNote Speakers:

  • Angela Proffitt

    • Who She Is:
      • Entrepreneur, designer, celebrity wedding and event planner, and consultant, just to name a few of her many talents. 
    • What She Talked About: "Maximize Your Marketing When On TV Or Featured Article"
      • Have you ever had the opportunity to go on TV and give tips in your industry? Well as a planner and designer, that usually requires props. And when the show tells you there’s no budget, what’s your reaction? FREE? Nothing is free in life." Angela covered how to maximize your ROI when there’s not a budget in order to get local or national exposure. 
  • Heather Benge

    • Who She Is:
    • What She Talked About: Styled Shoots
      • Start to finish planning and which shoots to include for publication as well as styling tips and submission tips. 
  • Bogdan Constantin

    • Who He Is:
      • Creator and CFO of Menguin (men's suit and tux online delivery service).
    • What he talked about: "Scaling Through Growth Hacking With Bogdan Constantin".
      • Bogden shared how he turned $30k of ad money spent into $1M of revenue in 9 months using tactics and tools available to everyone. As well as talking about the nuts and bolts of scaling a wedding brand by focusing on the most important aspects:
        • Becoming profitable through succesfully acquiring leads/customers. 
        • Converting those leads based on their own timeline for making wedding decisions related to your service or product. 

We heard about industry trends, where things are headed and how to maximize on social media strategies. We also particiapted in a live broadcast of a few expert panelists during a TWESA networking event with local wedding professionals one evening.  This was held at the Estate's outdoor venue area. Overall the two-days were full of good coversations and great content!

Aero Bar Style Shoot with Mallory Ervin

We recently worked a style shoot with Aero Bar at Bloomsbury Farms to promote their sleek new Mobile Bar named Henry. The beautiful and talented Mallory Ervin and her handsome husband Kyle, accompanied by their adorable pug named Dug, helped bring the scene to life.   We couldn't be happier with how it all turned out.

OZ Open House

We can't say enough about the versatility and the beauty of OZ Nashville's modern arts and events venue.  If it wasn't already stunning enough, OZ recently hosted an Open House where they had the assistance of some of Nashville's premier event vendors to add to the possibilities of what their space can offer.  

As with any successful event, delicious food is a necessity. Chef Penelope, A Catered Affair, A Dream Come True, Chef's Market and Clean Plate Club all brought a vast array of creatively presented and tasty foods.  Graceful Tables provided the elegant table linens.

Visual Elements, Brantley Sound, Liberty Party Rentals, and Cort Event Furniture all collaborated to fill the space with decor that fits the modern appeal of OZ's artistic venue.  Not only was the event a great time to catch up with friends in the industry, it also showcased what Nashville truly has to offer when vendors work in sync to make a beautiful event.

Featuring OZ Nashville

We recently had the privilege of doing a photo shoot at OZ Nashville, a 'destination for innovative contemporary art experiences'. In addition to all the beautiful art on display, OZ features five unique event spaces that can be adapted to host a variety of events.  From a spacious outdoor patio to a Zen garden to a 10,000 square foot warehouse space, the sky is the limit as far as events go.  

Visual Elements provided some fabulous decor for this event which took an already fabulous space to the next level!  Check out these photos to get a glimpse into the the beauty and versatility of this venue.
